Everything Speech O'Clock sells is digital, so there is nothing to wait for in the post. If something has not arrived or will not open, this page will almost always sort it out.
What happens right after you buy
As soon as your payment goes through, two things happen:
- Your download links appear on the order confirmation page in your browser. You can download straight from there.
- The same links are emailed to the address you entered at checkout.
Printable products arrive as PDFs. Canva and editable template products arrive as a link that opens the template in your own account.
Your email has not arrived
Give it a few minutes first, then work through these in order:
- Check your spam, junk and promotions folders. Search your inbox for Speech O'Clock.
- Check the email address on your order. A typo at checkout is the most common cause, and it is an easy fix on our end.
- School and district email systems often block outside attachments and links. If you bought with a work address, try a personal one, or check with your IT team.
Still nothing? Email us and we will resend your files by hand.
Opening and saving your PDF
On a computer. Click the download link, then save the file somewhere you will find it again. Open it with any PDF reader or your browser.
On a phone or tablet. Tap the link and the file opens in your browser. Use the share or download icon to save it to Files, Books, or Drive, otherwise it disappears when you close the tab.
The file will not open. Make sure the download finished, then try opening it in a different app or on a different device. If it still will not open, the file may have been interrupted mid-download, so try the link again.
Canva templates
Canva products come as a template link, not a file. Tap the link, and Canva will ask you to make a copy. That copy is yours to edit, save and print as often as you like.
- You need a free Canva account. A paid plan is not required.
- Always work in your copy, never the original template.
- If the link asks you to log in first, log in and then open the link again.
Editable PowerPoint templates
These download as PowerPoint files. Open them in PowerPoint, Keynote, or Google Slides. Some fonts and animations may look slightly different outside PowerPoint, which is normal.
Printing
- Print at 100% or Actual Size rather than Fit to Page, so cards and boards stay the size they were designed to be.
- Card stock holds up far better than paper for anything a child will handle repeatedly.
- Laminating, or a sheet protector, makes boards reusable with a dry-erase marker.
- Print as many copies as you need for your own family, classroom or caseload.
